San Antonio’s number of positive COVID-19 cases spiked last week after the long Juneteenth weekend, with the cases surpassing 1,000 twice. The city is now sitting at a medium risk level.
The number of positive COVID-19 cases jumped from 232 on Monday, June 20 to 1,656 cases on Tuesday, June 21, according to data from the Metro Health District. Numbers dropped to 526 cases on Wednesday, June 22 and then spiked back up to 1,001 cases on Thursday, June 23. The week closed out with 957 cases last Friday, June 24. Numbers from the weekend haven’t been reported yet.
