NORTH CONWAY, NH – Memorial Hospital has begun booking COVID-19 vaccination appointments for children under five years of age. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) gave its final approval on June 18, 2022 for children age six-months through five years to be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.

“We are now able to administer a COVID-19 vaccine to all age groups,” says Memorial’s Emergency Management Coordinator, Will Owen, RN. “This approval is another step in controlling this pandemic.”

Vaccine appointments are available to the public during the hospital’s regular vaccine hours of Wednesdays from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. Memorial has also added special hours on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 8 am until noon to accommodate the increase in pediatric appointments. These appointment times are open to all ages but registration is required. Call 603-356-5472 or visit vaccine.mainehealth.org. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present.

Mt. Washington Valley Rural Health patients may also schedule a vaccine during regular primary care hours. All vaccines are administered at the Mt. Washington Valley Rural Health Primary Care offices on the Memorial Hospital campus in North Conway.

Since they first became available, Memorial Hospital has administered more than 25,000 COVID-19 vaccines. With this most recent announcement, vaccines are available for all ages. Individuals should consult with their physician before receiving a vaccine. More information is available at CDC.gov/COVID19.
